Manchester Pride 2023 took place over the August Bank Holiday weekend from 25 to 28 August, delivering a vibrant four-day celebration focused on community, protest, and queer joy. Centred around the theme "Queerly Beloved," the festival marked the 10th anniversary of marriage equality in the UK with its longest-ever parade through the city centre. The iconic Gay Village Party at Sackville Gardens featured the festival's most diverse lineup to date—boasting 96% queer performers, including headliners Jake Shears, Pabllo Vittar, and Danny Beard. Alongside the music and street parties, the event successfully integrated essential activism and reflection through the Human Rights Forum and the moving Candlelit Vigil.
