Manchester Pride is an organisation that has played a significant role in celebrating and supporting the LGBTQ+ community in Greater Manchester. Over two decades, it has contributed to positioning Manchester as an inclusive city, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors and generating substantial economic impact. The organisation has also provided grants to numerous grassroots community groups. In 2025, due to financial challenges including rising industry costs, declining ticket sales, and an unsuccessful bid to host Euro Pride, Manchester Pride initiated voluntary liquidation. The Board of Trustees has expressed commitment to supporting its community and partners during this transition, while seeking to preserve the positive legacy and continuing influence of the Pride movement within the region.
